Peace Walks

A peace walk is a community walk promoting peace.  Peace walks are tailored to fit the needs of the community in which it is being held and therefore differ in form from community to community, but can include performances, demonstrations, pledges, and much more. We hope to not only Stand In Peace, but walk in peace to promote unity, community, and healing.

Healing Circles

A healing circle is holding space for trauma where it may or may not show up. By holding space for trauma through healing circles we are physically, emotionally, and mentally being present and protective of what one another needs in each moment. Healing circles are tailored to fit the needs of the community in which it is being held and therefore differ in form from community to community, but can include performances, demonstrations, pledges, and much more.

Resilience Days

Resilience can mean:  1. the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness or 2.  ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.

Resilience means that you are able to overcome-to heal. Here at Stand in Peace International we celebrate and acknowledge our resilience by empowering the community to come together on Resilience Days.

Resilience days is a time for acknowledging that we are going through traumatic experiences and that we have been and will still Stand In Peace.

Retreats

Stand In Peace International offers retreats centered around various topics including self-care, mitigating trauma, and healthcare, just to name a few. Our team handles all the logistics, including planning, management and promotion. Past retreats include Women’s Wellness, Youth Snow Trip, and Healing Trauma.

Trainings

We specialize in trainings that move from trauma centered care towards resilience. We handle all the logistics, including presentations, training material for attendees, and follow up technical assistance for implementation.

Attendees can expect to walk away with a better idea on how to move from trauma informed care to community center healing practices. Our organization has been capacity building for over 20 years and has a proven effectiveness at working with disenfranchised communities.

Sisters United

Sisters United is a group of community leaders who support young women that are at risk of incarceration or death. We are a group of sisters coming together to support each other no matter where our sisters are in life, with the main goal of helping each other succeed beyond the current moment.

Our activities include: Street outreach, Speaking and community engagements at Juvenile Detention Centers, community centers and educational facilities.
